When BSI's testing facilities set up shop on Maylands Avenue in Hemel Hempstead back in 1959, the Kitemark® was already half a century old. Today, the imposing four-storey building - renamed Kitemark House in 2006 - is the home of the Kitemark, where much of the testing for Kitemark certification takes place.

EN 14351-1, published in May 2006, is the European Standard covering windows and doors made of any material. In essence, it means that CE marking is now required for windows and doors to be sold or transported across Europe (though CE marking remains voluntary for such products manufactured and sold in the UK).
We are under increasing pressure to comply with a growing number of regulations and to maintain growth - while under greater scrutiny than ever before. How can this be good for business?
